Who is this person?
Bruce Bernstein founded and runs NYSIA, the New York Software Industry Association. He has been involved in the tech world here since before the boom, and that makes him one of the survivors of the first wave. At NYSIA, he continues to be deeply involved in the life of Silicon Alley, running an incubator, publishing a weekly newsletter, putting on frequent events, and running technology/IT training programs.
